The provincial government is considering changing the information and formatting of its tender advertising schedules, which are produced four times a year starting with the annual release generally made in November at the MHCA Awards Breakfast.
“Manitoba Infrastructure (MI) is considering editing the format and information that is currently presented with respect to the quarterly Advertising Schedule for the current construction season,” the department says in an email to MHCA.
MHCA Chris Lorenc is asking members to send him comments by July 12, on what they would like to see changed or added to the information released within the tender advertising schedules.
MI noted the changes are intended to improve the industry and bidders’ ability to understand and respond to the province’s infrastructure investment plans and the tenders themselves.
“As MHCA is one of MI’s key stakeholders, we would appreciate any revisions your association would recommend for additional or different information to be provided on the webpage. MI is in a time of transformation and we hope that this information… will continue to be improved to best provide the information to suit the needs of Manitoba industry and citizens alike.”
The current information can be found here.
