MHCA Board, Gillingham to meet October 7

Winnipeg Mayor Scott Gillingham has agreed to meet informally for a round table discussion with the MHCA Board of Directors.

The objective is to discuss and exchange views on a wide range of issues, including the city’s economic growth progress and plans, and the role Winnipeg’s transportation network plays in the economy.

“The Board is keenly interested in the City’s – all governments’ – policies and planning strategies as they relate to attracting investment and growing the economy,” MHCA President & CEO Chris Lorenc said.

“We sincerely appreciate the opportunity of informal conversation with our political leaders at all three levels of government because of the importance of growing the economy to our collective social progress. Clearly strategic investment in infrastructure helps realize the growth objectives.”

The Board is interested in hearing the mayor’s assessment of the city’s challenges and opportunities for progress.
