The City of Winnipeg has provided a chart showing the process that will be followed, across departments, to comply with the provincial prompt payment rules, now included in the Builders’ Liens Act.

Prompt payment rules came into effect April 1 and municipalities are required to follow them.
The Province of Manitoba has committed to ensuring Manitoba Transportation & Infrastructure and Manitoba Hydro will also comply with the rules, although they are not mandated in legislation to do so.
