MHCA’s Heavy Santa brought a wave of Christmas joy to the 75 students in grades 1 to 4 at David Livingstone School December 11.
The excitement was clear as the kids were treated to delicious pizza and goody bags, while heaps of presents sat waiting beside Santa’s chair.
To make sure Santa found them, the children sang a lively rendition of ‘Jingle Bell Rock.’ With a booming ‘Ho Ho Ho,’ Santa made a spectacular entrance across the stage, instantly filling the room with holiday joy!
One by one, each eager student met Santa and received a special gift, thanks to Santa’s helpers. Some students even had gifts of their own for Santa—beautiful drawings and heartfelt letters of thanks.
Then it was finally time for the big gift reveal. Wrapping paper flew through the air and shouts of joy echoed as the children unwrapped treasures like Disney’s Raya play figures, a 3D Lumi Glow Pad and a Bingo Set.
A huge thank you to all those who supported the fundraising efforts at the Curling Classic, Spring Mixer, and Chair’s Gala, helping to raise $3,100 this year and once again make Heavy Santa’s visit unforgettable.
A special thanks to Julie Desroches, the MHCA Office Administrative Assistant, for her hard work in making Santa’s magical visit possible. What an unforgettable day of cheer!
