In addition to joining the Board, Lorenc has been appointed to the Foundation’s Fund Development Committee, Audit, Finance & Investment Committee, and Strategic Policy Committee.
Lorenc has a long history of collaboration with the CWF through his work with the MHCA, the Canadian Construction Association (CCA), and the Western Canada Roadbuilders & Heavy Construction Association (WCR&HCA).
A recent example of this partnership was the May 2022 CWF report, From Shovel Ready to Shovel Worthy. The report helped lay the foundation for the Canada Trade Infrastructure Plan (CTIP), which was subsequently adopted unanimously by Canada’s Premiers through the Council of the Federation in July 2023.
“I expect to be able to continue advancing policy matters of interest to our industry and of national benefit while serving on the Board, well after my retirement,” said Lorenc, who will retire in December 2026 after 35 years with the MHCA.
