More than 70 trained graduates ready to work in construction

Manitoba Construction Sector Council (MCSC), in partnership with Northpine Foundation, recently launched several fully funded training programs designed to lead to ongoing employment within Manitoba’s construction sector.

The free construction industry training opportunities are geared toward Employment and Income Assistance (EIA) candidates looking for a new future in the skilled trades. The program is proudly supported by Manitoba Heavy Construction Association.

These students have completed job readiness, certified safety training through Construction Safety Association of Manitoba, and technical training, including drywall, scaffolding, framer and stucco installation. Many of these skills are transferrable to other areas of the heavy civil construction industry. As well, some grads join the program with experience in other areas, like concrete – making them well-rounded candidates ready to work.

MCSC has 70 graduates ready to work. Some are already working, but many are ready to join your team. If you or any company you know might be interested in bringing on one of the program’s graduates as an employee, reach out to MCSC.

Must see

As you can see in this MCSC Northpine training showcase video, the participants are well-trained, keen, and ready to start their careers in construction.
