Charissa Dobson, Ben Costa receives their NCSO designations

MHCA and WorkSafely® are pleased to announce Charissa Dobson, Director with Subcan Ltd., and Ben Costa, HSEQ Coordinator with Keller Foundations Ltd., received their NCSO designations on October 22, 2025.

Here’s what they had to say about their journeys

“As a Director at Subcan Ltd. responsible for managing large-scale projects and overseeing our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) program, achieving my NCSO designation is an important step in leading by example. It demonstrates my personal commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards, ensuring compliance, and fostering a strong safety culture across all levels of our organization,” said Dobson.

“The NCSO credential reinforces my ability to support our team with current industry best practices and strengthens Subcan’s reputation for safety excellence on every project we deliver.”

“As an HSEQ Coordinator, my role is centered around fostering a culture of safety, ensuring compliance, and continuously improving our health, safety, environmental, and quality systems. Pursuing the NCSO designation was a natural step in aligning my professional development with these responsibilities,” said Costa.

“The NCSO program provided me with a deeper understanding of construction safety legislation, hazard recognition, risk management, and incident investigation. It also reinforced my ability to lead by example, communicate effectively with workers and management, and implement practical safety solutions on-site.”

We congratulate Charissa and Ben.
