Thank you to everyone who joined us on Nov. 13 for what turned out to be one of the best-attended COR® meetings we’ve had in more than 10 years. It was energizing to see so many companies in the room—sharing ideas, asking questions, and contributing to meaningful discussions that truly strengthen safety across our industry.
We opened the morning with breakfast and networking before diving into a full agenda. The WorkSafely Program update provided a look at what’s new for 2026, including expanded consulting support, our new Field Safety form, increased training opportunities (including more in Brandon and rural communities), refreshed in-person courses, lower course costs, and improved online payment options coming soon.
Marty Danielson, from the Workplace Safety and Health Branch, shared key industry insights, incident trends, upcoming regulatory changes, and the Branch’s focus areas for 2026—valuable information that sparked great conversation among members.
The day wrapped with an interactive COR® Audit Workshop, where we reviewed the new Quality Assurance process, explored common audit challenges, and worked through practical strategies and solutions together. The open forum that followed was especially impactful—members openly shared challenges and best practices, helping each other strengthen their audit processes and overall safety programs.
We’re grateful to everyone who attended and contributed to such a productive and engaging morning. Your participation is what makes these meetings so valuable, and we look forward to continuing to grow and learn together at future sessions.
