MHCA WorkSafely announced changes to its COR audit tool and to key dates and policies for submitting internal audits at two COR meetings in Winnipeg this week.
The two meetings attracted more than 80 participants from MHCA COR client companies.
Highlights of the meetings included:
New Audit Tool: An overview of the latest changes to our audit tool and what to expect for 2025. Check out the audit tool posted on our website.
New COR® Logo Launch: a brand-new logo that will be launching in the fall, that is consistent with the CFCSA national COR logo. Keep on the lookout!
Contractor Management & Procurement: A brief overview of how to manage contractors and procurement to ensure compliance for your COR® audit.
Internal Audit Dates & COR® Late Submission Policy: Some changes to key dates and our policies on late submissions. The late submission application form can now be found on our website.
WorkSafely Training Portal: The WorkSafely Training Portal offers numerous benefits for workers and employers. Workers can create an online profile that remains with them throughout their career, providing access to certificates that stay updated and are never lost. The portal sends reminders when training expires. The portal allows companies easy management of courses, including canceling. Additionally, workers can share certificates by presenting a QR code, emailing it to employers, or enabling employers to access it through the Employer Module.
To set up your company admin account on the portal for the first time, email Kristen@mhca.mb.ca and she will email you specific instructions to get set up.
NEW COR courses launching this fall: Keep an eye our for our newly updated COR courses (LSE, PHSM, and Auditor course) launching this fall.
The Safety Scoop: WorkSafely will be launching its own monthly newsletter – coming December 2024
Hearing Conservation Pilot Program: In collaboration with SAFE Work MB, we introduced the opportunity for companies to participate in their hearing protection and conservation program. The program aims to help companies identify and control noise hazards, potentially saving significant costs. This service is free and available to COR® clients! Spaces are limited. Contact your regional advisor to register.
Our next COR meeting will take place in Brandon next week, offering another chance for companies to attend. Hope to see you there!
