Since the inauguration of The Safetys Gala in 2017, we have celebrated the dedication to workplace safety that leaders like Ed exemplify. His efforts have significantly shaped the safety landscape at Heidelberg Materials, seamlessly integrating the principles of the COR® program and leveraging technology to enhance safety measures.
Ed’s commitment is evident in his strategies for team engagement and leadership. He spearheads the annual spring safety week in April, reinvigorating the team’s focus as they return from breaks, and again in September, reinforcing a culture of safety year-round. He ensures that safety is not just a protocol but a daily practice.
Beyond his formal duties, Ed extends his influence into the community and shows genuine care for the employee’s wellbeing. His leadership goes beyond the worksite; he is a pillar in the community, always ready to volunteer and provide support wherever it’s needed. It is his dedication to ensuring that every team member returns home safely each day that truly sets him apart.
