Carbon tax – got you confused?

MHCA seeking detail, webinar session from Canada Revenue Agency

First, “my bad.” The carbon tax embedded in the price of diesel fuel at the pump rose by 5.37 cents per litre (not six cents).

Second, you may have a number of questions about how the new tax affects your business, especially if you are hauling goods across borders – CRA has a special category for such transporters. Click here for a power point on road-carrier registration requirements.

MHCA is digging into the details with the Canada Revenue Agency. We’d like to know if members are interested in a webinar, which may be arranged through the agency. The plan is to provide specific questions ahead of time, so the agency’s representative can be prepared.

Interested? Please email catherine@mhca.mb.ca with your concerns or questions. We hope to arrange a webinar soon.
