2024 MHCA Golf Classic

The Manitoba Heavy Construction Association’s ‘Golf Classic’ will be on Wednesday August 7, 2024 at the Quarry Oaks golf course in Steinbach, MB.

Registration Information

Registration forms, see below, will be accepted on the following dates:

Sponsorship registrations only:       Hole and some contests still available

Team registrations only:                   Opens at 9 a.m. Thursday June 13, 2024 (SOLD OUT)

  • Absolutely no early registrations will be accepted.
  • Any forms sent in prior to the allocated time/date will not be opened and deleted upon receipt by the MHCA.

It will take time to go through the emails, but the email sender will receive a confirmation or will be notified the team is on the wait listing.
 
Due to the popularity of this event, the following will apply:
 

  • ONE golf team per member company – companies must be MHCA members in good standing to register a team.
    • Only full teams of 4 players per team will be given priority at this point.
    • Registration on first come first served.
    • 11am shotgun start.
       
  • Team Captains
    • Will be emailed the complete teams listing closer to the event.
    • Must submit contact information of all golfers on their team prior to the start of the tournament – cell or email – MANDATORY.
       
  • Payment
    • Credit card processing will take place during the month of July at which time a receipt will be emailed.
    • Invoices will be emailed to team captain/contact person listed on the registration form(s).
       
  • Sponsorships
    • Please advise if you will have volunteers in attendance and if they will require bagged lunch(s) and /or reception tickets for an additional fee.
    • Limited food and beverage holes for sponsors who would like to hand out samples.  Please indicate on the form when registering if you are planning to do so.
       
  • A bagged lunch and reception are included in the golf registration fee.
  • Contest prizes will be mailed to event winners after the tournament.  No cell or email provided – no prize.
  • All golf course protocols will apply: two course marshals will monitor to ensure they are followed.
  • All tournament/contest information will be provided in the cart programs that day.

 
All forms will only be accepted via email to Christine@mcha.mb.ca and only after the time on the opening date noted above.  Any forms submitted before the noted time/date will be disregarded.
 
Due to the large number of companies registering, please submit your form only once for each sponsorship and/or team.

Chair’s Gala

Close to 650pp attended from both industry, government and stakeholder partners.  It was the closing of Nicole Chabot’s two year term as Chair.  Dennis Cruise of Bituminex Paving was welcomed as the new Chair.

200 members and guests gathered to hear greetings from Premier Heather Stefanson and the newly elected Mayor of Winnipeg, Scott Gillingham. Hon. Doyle Piwniuk, Minister, Manitoba Infrastructure, handed out the MTI Awards.

31 companies were recognized for their milestone membership commitments.

Matthew Neziol, of Bayview Construction, received the Safety Leader Award.
